Dresses, dresses, dresses!
Took my bridesmaids dress shopping this weekend. I'm exhausted now! We went in so many shops and they tried on so many things. My maid of honour came up from London especially and it was lovely to catch up. We stayed up most of last night chatting and gossiping. I real could just collapse now I'm so tired. I really could do without going back to Uni tomorrow and starting teaching again this week. Everything seems to be happening at once after two months of nothing. Not entirely convinced I can cope.

I've been hearing all about this game 'Fable' and I really want to play it, however there are a couple of problems.
1) It's not yet out in this country
2) I don't have an X-box
3) I don't have any money to buy an X-box

I could solve the latter problems by putting an X-box on the wedding gift registry but on the off chance that somebody bought us one then it would extend the timescale in problem one. I'm not sure I can wait until the end of January.
Kim want play now!

Teaching Sucks!
After being promised some teaching hours in forensic science before the start of the holidays I've chased up again and again about when I'll start. Now I've been told that they don't want me after all. I'm gutted; I was really looking forward to teaching in this area.

I've also been told that psychology don't want me back at the minute either. They might want me in October but they'll let me know. I'm devastated! I have teaching deadlines and a quota of hours to fill and no one will help me. I don't know what to do. I don't know what I've done wrong. I'm certain I'm being punished for being a horrible person. I'm filled with black, vile poison inside and everyone must be able to see it.

Books I've read this month - August
Two books again this month:

The first book is Stardust by Neil Gaiman.
This is an unusual book that is something of a mix between a child's fairy tale and an adult's science fiction adventure. Alas it just doesn't seem to work in either category; it's too involved for children to really enjoy and it's lacking any real depth and exploration of a sense of history for adults. It is not all bad by any means, but not one of my favourite stories by Neil Gaiman.

The second book is Goodnight Mister Tom by Michelle Magorian.
This book is the story of a young boy who is evacuated to the country during the war. Escaping his background of fear and poverty, we watch him grow in both stature and confidence as he receives love and attention from his new friends and his strange grumpy father figure, Mister Tom.
I first read this book when I was at primary school but it is no less emotive now than it was then. A truly wonderful and tragic story.

Dream Boundaries
I woke up in fine style this morning. I dreamt that I was punching someone (they really deserved it by the way) and woke up in pain having really puched my bedroom wall. Ouch!

Anyway. I've been busy this week, all parents should be banned and wedding plans are stressful I won't bore you with the details.
